Counselling & Psychotherapy In Nottinghamshire
We all experience difficult times, emotions and relationships at some stage in our lives. You are not alone. In choosing to look for support you have taken your first positive step towards feeling well.
Seeking counselling can be a scary and confusing step to take. I know the thought of talking to someone about the difficulties you are experiencing can bring feelings of guilt, shame and weakness, however, I feel it takes great courage to reach out for support.
I understand that first step can also be an important commitment. Which is why I feel it important for you to find the right therapist, as the quality of the relationship determines successful therapy.
As a fully qualified and BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist I provide caring, professional, yet down to earth support which is confidential and non-judgemental in a safe environment. This can bring healing through, together, developing self-awareness, self-acceptance which aids growth and leads to change.
I offer the choice of face to face therapy, video or telephone sessions.
I work with adults of all ages, from diverse backgrounds, with a variety of life issues and welcome clients of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
Some of the areas that clients bring to therapy which I work with are:
Anxiety
Depression
Stress
Anger
Relationship and marriage difficulties
Bereavement and loss
Trauma
Childhood sexual abuse
Physical/emotional abuse
Un-resolved childhood trauma
Cisgender, transgender and non-binary identity roles
Sexuality and sexual orientation
Identity & body image
Low self-confidence/low self-esteem
If what you want to talk about is not on the list please give me a call and we can discuss your individual situation and whether I can help. Even if it is not an issue that I work with, I will do my best to point you in the right direction to find more information, resources or someone else who can help. Please note, anything you talk about will be treated in the strictest confidence as outlined by the professional body to which I belong.
